Wow.

It sure has been a long time since I've posted here.

I've been busy cooking and sewing over at Polka Dots and Pastries.

Though today I thought I'd do a little house keeping on my book blog.

So far this year I've read 6 books.

My goal this year is 52.  We'll see how that goes.

Four of the books were by an amazing author Amulya Malladi.  I read her first three books where are based on Indian woman both in India and in the United States.  Then I read her fifth book which was a departure from the Indian theme.  This book The Sound of Language takes place in Denmark and focuses on an refugee from Afghanistan.   This is a wonderful tale of overcoming mistrust of persons from a different culture.
